FOR THE PREVIOUS EDITION:
Perhaps one of the world's most endearing sports coupes, the Alfa Romeo
105-series GT Coupe won instant popularity when first released in 1963.
This publication by well-known English writer John Tipler was first
published in 1992 and this edition has been updated and enlarged to
include the Giulia's success in current day historic motor racing. The
book follows an accepted path by placing the Giulia within the history
of the marque before moving on to the initial design by Bertone and its
production. That's followed by the model's prodigious competition
history in races and on circuits throughout the world. There is, of
course, detailed mention of Autodelta and the highly successful GTA
competition version. Due attention is also given to choosing and
restoring a Giulia Coupe and quite rightly, this section has also been
upgraded for modern enthusiasts. The final chapter is completely new and
features the car's position today in Europe's historic racing scene.
Finishing with useful appendices on specifications, period
advertisements, current specialists and so on, it's a worthwhile book
for Alfa enthusiasts.
