All...
good things come to end, or so the saying goes, although this is much more of a farewell than a goodbye. What on earth, you are probably wondering, am I on about? Well as you know we reached the 50th issue milestone last issue and it made me realise I’ve been writing (and designing) this magazine for the past few years, originally only as a temporary ‘stop gap’ when Mark had to take an extended leave of absence.
I’ve now decided it’s my turn to take a back seat, but don’t worry I’ll still be designing the issues and this has always been my strength rather than the writing. Also as I now have two young children (Mark’s are a little older, well just) we’ve decided between us that it’s time he took back the responsibility of editor, leaving me to focus on the design (and hopefully have a little more free time)!
For any of you that have read the magazine since its beginning, or certainly for more than a couple of years, then Mark will be familiar to you (as I mentioned last issue he’s one of the founders of TSC not to mention our current sub editor), so please don’t worry as you’ll be in very safe hands. I’d just like to thank all readers, makers, dealers and everyone else who has supported me during my tenure as editor and I look forward to speaking to everyone at the shows, although no doubt I’ll have my head stuck in my camera as usual!
Enjoy this issue, my final ‘hoorah’ as editor, as it’s crammed full of loads of great articles and reviews, also good luck to Mark, and I guess all that’s left to say is thank you and goodnight (for now anyway).
